the white rose foundation
The White Rose Foundation was established in honour of Hussain Manawer's late mother and has been delivering impactful community programmes for the past six years, continuing to create equitable access to arts, culture, and creative careers for young people and communities that have historically been excluded from opportunity.
We believe talent is universal, but access is not. Through partnerships with leading cultural institutions and employers, the Foundation creates pathways into the creative industries through mentorship, skills development, work experience, and employment opportunities.
Building on initiatives such as Compulsory Subjects, delivered with Hackney Empire, and collaborations with Trinity Buoy Wharf Trust, Royal Albert Hall, BBC, ITV, and Apple TV+, more than 120 young people have already accessed meaningful opportunities across the arts, media, and creative sectors.
The White Rose Foundation exists to grow this impact connecting people, strengthening communities, and ensuring that creativity can be a route to confidence, belonging, and meaningful employment.
